Groundfix was formed in 2015 as a joint venture between two of the South West's most respected and long-established groundworks & civil engineering businesses. We bring the scale, resource and track record to deliver where others can't.

Steve Hoskin Construction has built a strong reputation across the South West for delivering complex civil engineering and infrastructure packages. With deep expertise in large-scale residential development, highways and drainage, and a commitment to programme-led delivery, Steve Hoskin brings decades of proven experience to everything Groundfix takes on.

Our fleet

Groundfix operates one of the most comprehensive in-house plant fleets in the South West — including excavators from 1 tonne to 50 tonnes, articulated dump trucks, dozers, rollers, telehandlers and our own dedicated surfacing pavers.
Surfacing Plant
Our in-house surfacing paver for self-delivery of asphalt works — base, binder and surface course across residential, commercial and highways schemes. Supported by compaction rollers and ancillary surfacing plant.
Screeners & Crushers
Mobile screeners and crushers for on-site material processing and aggregate production, reducing waste and supporting sustainable site operations.
Telehandlers
JCB and Manitou telehandlers for material handling, lifting and distribution across our active construction sites where forklifts cannot access.
Dozers
Tracked dozers for bulk pushing, topsoil strip and formation preparation on our larger earthworks programmes. Used across major residential and infrastructure schemes throughout the South West.
Rollers
Compaction rollers across a full range of sizes for engineered fill, trench reinstatement and road build. Also includes trench rollers and combination rollers for varying ground conditions.
Dumpers
Forward-tipping dumpers from 3 to 9 tonnes for material redistribution, spoil removal and general site logistics across all our civils and groundworks programmes.
Articulated Dump Trucks
High-capacity articulated dump trucks for bulk material movement across our large-scale earthworks programmes. Our ADT fleet handles the sustained output demands of major cut and fill operations across sites like Sherford and Orchard Grove.
Excavators
A comprehensive range of tracked excavators from 1 tonne to 50 tonnes, including our latest Hitachi ZX490. All machines are fitted with weigh loaders where required, enabling safe lifting and placing of large diameter pipes, culvert sections and precast concrete units.

We have NHSS Sector Scheme 16 accreditation for the installation of road markings and road studs on public roads. An essential credential for surfacing works on highways and major schemes.
