Who are Groundfix?

Groundfix is a joint venture between Fred Champion Groundworks and Steve Hoskin Construction who joined forces to undertake large projects in the South West. A consequence of this affiliation is the continued working together where the two companies complement and support each other, further complimented by the dedicated and successful Groundfix Management team.

We have a combined labour force of over 700 employees. Groundfix are currently the infrastructure contractor for the Sherford Site in Plymouth which includes the construction of 5,500 new homes, over 80,000m2 employment and retail space, a sports centre, 3 x primary Schools, 1 x secondary school, 500 acre community parkland and extensive earthworks.

Working alongside Brookbanks Limited who are the lead Consultant and Project Managers for the Sherford Consortium.

Fred Champion Groundworks

Established in 1983, Fred Champion Groundworks has developed into one of the largest groundworks contractors in Cornwall. Due to continued expansion, we now have sub-divisions specialising in Bulk Excavation, Land Remediation & Insitu Concrete Construction as well as our own hire company, Fred Champion Hire Ltd.

Furthermore, we have expanded our operations into Scaffolding. Fred Champion Scaffolding was established in 2007, and is already one of the largest independent Scaffolding companies.

Steve Hoskin Construction

Steve Hoskin Construction Ltd Building and Civil Engineering Contractors deliver a wide range of services such as earthworks, excavation, civil engineering works & street works to its clients across the south west.

Established in 1995, we are proud of our Cornish heritage. With that pride comes the drive for continual improvement as well as long term planning and ongoing investment in plant, staff skills, training and safety.
